“ Quintessential Wisconsin supper club. Never disappoints. Steaks were great. You get a ton of food. Old fashioned are . Love when they have prime rib. ”
“ Absolutely the best! No TV's, Wonderful menu's for every pallet, and a staff that has been there while and actually remembers you. French Onion soup = WONDERFUL, not to mention the popovers when you get seated, or the bread loaves with the salad. Need to get there more often! ”
“ Genuine...Classic...Perfect! As good as any you'll find anywhere. Oh, and the popovers! ”
“ If you are looking for a nostalgic Wisconsin supper club experience, come here. They do everything right, from the location, the decor, the menu selections, and the drinks. Service is very friendly and top notch. I've been there twice and each time everyone in our party was very pleased with the service and what they ordered. Also, the portions are beyond generous verging on ridiculously large. ”
“ We went here with family back in July. Food was fabulous, I had the filet, it was very tender with a great flavor. Also had french onion soup, very tasty. There were 9 of us, service was amazing. Everyone had received there specified orders. Looking forward to visiting again. ”
“ This a true gem in the middle of nowhere. I'm lucky enough to have a friend near by when passing through western Wisconsin and called to ask for a good steakhouse/supper club. The attention to detail was in everything they did, whether it was the old fashions made from brandy or whiskey or sweet or bitter. All salad dressings are also house made along with the rolls and bread. The main course of a perfectly cooked ribeye was one of the best steaks I ever had and price at $35 the 14oz was a steal. The service was just like the food, spot on. This place is worth the 1/2 hour detour off of 94 by New Richmond WI. ”
“ We drive from the North Metro (Forest Lake Area) to enjoy the Wisconsin Supper Club experience! The Laurel does not disappoint. The ambiance brings you back to the hay day of the Supper Club of the 30's and 40'. With the feel of friendliness, people are friendly and social. The drinks are strong but yet very good, wait staff are busy because the place is hoping. Then to top that the food is amazing. A very simple menu, but something for everyone. The food is very Wisconsin meat, fish and seafood. The soups are homemade and delicious, Don't forget the cheese. Harty food. When leaving the Laurel you will have a smile on your face, your belly will feel full and your wallet will be happy! You really need to take the time to enjoy this experience! ”
“ The food here is phenomenal! I have driven and will continue to drive the 45 minutes it takes from my home just to eat the filet mignon. Top five all-time favorite for me. I've never ordered anything other than steak here, and honestly probably never will. The accompanying pop-overs and soups are also delicious! The vibe is unpretentious - very classic WI supper club. It's like you've stepped in a time machine. Food is simple, but done SO WELL. Only bummer on a recent trip, the service in the dining room was lacking. The place was full on a Saturday night. Our server was so sweet, but it was clear she was crazy busy and didn't have the time to be super attentive. We never got our salads, and one of our beers took about 30 minutes. But even that didn't detract from the meal because the steak was just that good. I'll be back! ”
“ We went here for the first time this weekend and loved it! It felt like we were stepping back into the 50s or 60s. So cool. I made a last minute/day of reservation and we had to wait a bit for our table, so we hung out at the bar. I had a great martini. I ordered the filet mignon and my husband had the sirloin with crab. My filet was among the best I've ever had. Cooked perfectly. I also had the best French onion soup ever, a house salad with amazing homemade blue cheese dressing and a twice baked potato. Our server (Sally?) was awesome. We will definitely be back! ”
